DCA Test Scores Excel!!
The results of DCA’s 2006-07 achievement test scores are in and our students continue to substantially exceed national averages. DCA gives the Stanford Achievement Test in the 1st - 7th grades. Ninety-six percent of our 1st – 4th graders attained and exceeded the 50 percentile nationally. Also, our average (median) 5th grader scored at the 9.8 grade level equivalency, while our average 6th and 7th grade math scores were at the 11th and 12th grade level respectively.
Beginning in the 8th grade our students take preparatory ACT tests. Our 8th graders take the Explore ACT and our 9th & 10th graders take the Plan ACT. All grades scored above national averages with our average tenth grade score exceeding college entrance level.
Our 11th and 12th graders take the ACT test and our seniors’ average score was 24 compared to a 21 national average. The top 25% of the senior class had a composite score of 27.
