Providing affordable Christian education to our community.

TUITION & FEES
Donelson Christian Academy derives substantially all of its financial support from tuition and related fees. These are established by the Board of Trustees. Each member should understand his/her commitment and financial obligation to the academy prior to applying for admission.

Registration Fee - In order to register a new or current student at the school, a registration fee of $225 per family is due in February of each year for current students and within two weeks of notification of acceptance for new students. The fee reserves a place for the student and is non-refundable.

Tuition - The tuition for Donelson Christian Academy for the 2008-2009 school year is $5,995 for Pre-K and K5, $6,495 for grades 1-5 and $6,995 for grades 6-12.

Book & Activity Fee - The book fee is $250 per student for 1st-12th grades and $150 per student for Pre-K and K5. The fee provides students with necessary textbooks, workbooks, annual testing, a yearbook and media center materials.

Technology Fee - DCA's middle school has a technology fee for the 2008-09 school year of $525 per student. The fee provides each student with a tablet computer for usage at school and home.

Admissions Fee - A one time admissions fee of $40 is charged when a child applies for admission to the school. The
fee is payable at the time the application is received and is non-refundable.

PAYMENT PLANS
The financial operation of the school must be in accordance with sound fiscal management. Cash flow is important to the daily operation of the school which is a business enterprise and has expenses to pay. Prompt payment of tuition and fees is essential for financial stability.

Plan 1 - One Annual Payment - One payment for tuition and book fee are due July 1 prior to the beginning of the school year.

Plan 2 - Semi-Annual Payments - Two tuition payments for one-half of tuition each are due July 1 and January 1. The book fee and a finance charge of $100 per student for this plan are due in full on July 1.

Plan 3 - Monthly Payments - Monthly payments for tuition are due from May 1 through April 1. The book fee is due on July 1. A finance charge of $150 per student may be spread over the twelve monthly payments. This plan is administered by Tuition Management Systems with an additional $50 charge per family.

OTHER POLICIES
Late Charge - Payments are due at the end of each month billed. A 1 1/2%  late charge is assessed if not received by the end of each month.

Early Withdrawal - The tuition contract may be cancelled by written request to the Admissions Office by May 31st with no cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be 25% of tuition for any written cancellation request received from June 1 to June 30th and 50% of remaining tuition for cancellation requests received after June 30th.

Late Entrance - If a student attends any day within a month, the full tuition is due to the academy.

Additional Costs - Additional costs may be incurred for Winterim and class trips. This cost must be paid prior to the student departing on the trip.

FINANCIAL AID
DCA has need-based financial aid for students. Applications can be obtained in the admissions office. Students may receive financial aid without restriction in K4-8th grades. Currently, students participating in 9-12th grade TSSAA athletic events may not receive financial aid. A student employment program is available for students in these grades who play sports.
