“Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old, he will not depart from it”
Proverbs 22:6

The members of the board of trustees, the faculty, and the student body represent various religious denominations and practices. The academy is not under the direction, influence, or support of any particular church. The basic doctrinal statements of DCA are as follows:
• The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God (II Timothy 3:16).

• There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (I John 5:4-6).

• We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory (I Corinthians 13:3; I Peter 2:21-34; John 3:16).

• For salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Romans 3:21; Galatians 4:4-7).

• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Galatians 5:22-25).

• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that they are saved unto the resurrection of life; and they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:24, 28, 29) in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:21-23).
Donelson Christian Academy respects the religious practices of each individual Christian denomination and provides opportunity for expressions of genuine Christianity freely shared among the members of God’s family.
